Kawazu Nanadaru
- The Seven Waterfalls
of Kawazu

As the name suggests, there are seven falls that are part of Kawazu Nanadaru (nana means seven).
Enjoy a refreshing stroll for about an hour along the walking trail, while viewing the beautiful and dynamic seven falls.
It is recommended to wear sneakers when taking a walk.

Imaihama Beach

3-minute walk from Imaihama Kaigan station.
Imaihama beach is one of the most beautiful shoal beaches in Izu.
The beach, located close to Imaihama Kaigan station, is a popular summertime destination for various groups of people, including families. As it is also near many ryokans and guest houses, you can travel back and forth in your swimming gear.

Kawazuhama Beach

A beach that offers leisurely sea-bathing, as not so many people come here even during the high season, although it is conveniently located. It is about a 3-minute walk from “Kawazu Station.” Surfing can also be enjoyed near the river outlet into the sea.

Shobuzawa
Diving Center

A diving point with a long history, located at the southern-most tip of East Izu. A shallow beach stretches out far into the sea, making it a perfect place to hold diving lessons or have fun diving.
An introductory diving experience (¥12,000) is available for those who wish to try diving before taking a full course.

Funado no Banya

Open-air bath and foot bath with a stunning panoramic view of Sagami Bay.
The place also offers barbecue and set menus made with freshly caught seafood and various activities in nature, such as salt making and satsuma orange jam making.

Mine Onsen
Fountain Park

A unique park where a 100℃ geyser gushes as high as about 30m above the ground. The geyser erupts seven times a day.
The park offers a foot bath and geyser eggs, a specialty cooked under the geyser. There is also a shop that sells local products.

Odoriko Onsen Kaikan
(Odoriko Hot Springs Hall)

A Japanese style day-use onsen facility that takes advantage of the abundant supply of spring water at “Mine Onsen,” one of the seven onsen villages in Kawazu. A variety of baths are available, from a large indoor bath and outdoor bath made with fieldstones, utaseyu (waterfall shower), and a jacuzzi.

Hands-on Zoo iZoo

The largest reptile and amphibian zoo in Japan. A hands-on zoo where visitors can observe reptiles and amphibians outdoors, feed them, take photos with a giant tortoise and reptiles, or pet a manatee. Everyone, from small children to adults, is welcome to pet reptiles and amphibians they normally have no chance to come in contact with, as much as they please.

Jardin de Bagatelle

A rose garden, characterized by its geometric design, recreated accurately to the original Bagatelle Park in Paris, France.
Approximately 6,000 roses of some 1,100 kinds bloom gracefully during the flowering period. Take in the beauty and scent of sensuous roses to your heart’s content.

Kawazu Nanadaru
Loop Bridge

A giant, double looped bridge along Route 414, located near the Seven Falls and Odaru Onsen.
There is a parking lot right under the bridge, which is quietly gaining popularity for the spectacular view of the loop.

Seisokuji Temple

A temple with a history of 700 years, famous for its folklore of kappa and goshuin (stamp).
Various kappa statues are at the temple, making it a popular relaxing spot surrounded by nature.

Kawazu-zakura
Sakura Festival

A festival held during the flowering season of Kawaszu-zakura, from February 10th to March 10th every year. With about 850 cherry trees along Kawazu River and over 8,000 across the town, the event covers a vast area.
It is visited by many tourists every year. Food stalls spring up around the town, offering local delicacies.
Lines of cherry trees are lit up at night, creating a romantic atmosphere.

Imaihama
Fireworks Display

A large summer event with about 1,000 spectacular fireworks that can be viewed up close from Imaihama Beach.
